When the pandemic closed hotels and businesses one year ago this month, our GM Kathleen Cochran did her research to find new and innovative ways for The Alisal to bring our guests #saferspaces and the highest quality protection possible.

California Ranch Cookouts

California Ranch Cookouts are back! The Alisal is excited to welcome Brooke Williamson, Bravo’s “Top Chef” Season 14 winner and Chef Govind Armstrong, television personality, cookbook author, and restaurateur.  Director of Culinary Operations, Anthony Endy, will cook up a feast with each Guest Chef creating a memorable outdoor dining experience that will leave you full, yet hungry for more!

California Ranch Cookouts with Chef Anthony & Friends at the Alisal Guest Ranch & Resort

Join Culinary Director Anthony Endy and Top Guest Chefs. Some of America’s hottest chefs are coming to The Alisal to team up with the Ranch’s Director of Culinary Operations, Anthony Endy, for a series of memorable California Ranch Cookouts. The focus will be on barbecued favorites, including savory meats, seafood, delicious roasted veggie dishes, and grilled decadent desserts.

We’re celebrating National Day of the Horse with our cheerful toy horses playing their part in our “Horse on the Shelf” contest that we introduced last year and have brought back again this winter, thanks to their tremendous popularity.

Service Charges

The Alisal's 20% service charge is intended to eliminate the need for our guests to tip individual employees, as well as cover the cost of a variety of amenities provided to our guests. These include two water canteens and a bottle of Alisal wine at check-in, daily newspapers, complimentary WiFi internet access, fitness center, complimentary shuttles to and from Solvang village center, nightly hors d'oeuvres in the Oak Room bar, complimentary bicycles, wine tasting with Alisal wine partners, scheduled and seasonal entertainment and a variety of children's activities including barnyard and Kid's arts and crafts room.
