Everyone knows that our barnyard friends are cherished at the Ranch. Whether you are young at heart or young in age, each one of them brings a smile to your face. One sentiment is for certain, they sure miss all of you! Rest assured, the horses are healthy and are enjoying the wide open pastures to roam free. The barnyard critters are appreciating snuggles from Head Wrangler Meghan and the pigs are taking mud baths to get ready for their selfies with each of you! All are gearing up and will be jumping for joy for the return of our family of guests. See you all soon!
“The cats here think they know sunbathing, but Carter and I are really the king and queen of taking it easy. My brother and I are named after the legendary June Carter Cash. Our days include napping, sunbathing, digging some holes, and then sunbathing some more, with snack breaks on the hour. We are missing the days when humans and their mini humans hang out with us in the barn. We love when they take our photos, call our names, and really treat us like the celebrity we were named for. We’re counting on our daily mud baths to keep us camera-ready. We can’t wait to pose with our barn posse and all those cute Alisal kids again soon.”

“We sure are missing our daily stream of pets and cat calls and all the attention we normally get. Forget the saying “it’s a dog’s life.” Here at The Alisal it’s a cat’s life for sure. We know we’re supposed to be into chasing mice but you probably have come to realize we much prefer chasing kids on the lawn. It can be tiring at times, which is why we take lots of breaks to sit in the sun by the front desk. Our other favorite spot is our baskets by check in, from there we can take naps and make sure we say hello when all of our favorite cat-loving guests arrive. While every day feels like Caturday around here, it sure is better when there’s some human interaction. We miss our people!”

“The dawn light is breaking and I’m standing with the crew waiting for wrangler Meghan. All of my pals are here: Strawberry, Finn, Cowboy, and Pendleton. There are over 100 of us here at The Alisal but these guys are what you could call my inner circle. My name is Tabasco, I think because they say I have a “spicy” personality. We all miss our human friends, and those long rides to the Old Adobe (Finn and I both love riding with the faster groups where we can really gallop). We still go on our daily excursions and the grass has never been greener. It’s just not the same without our riders. While we wait, we’re getting brushed and getting lots of exercise. We can’t wait to see all our favorite guests again. Ok, Meghan’s here – time to head out on those open trails!”
