Ranch Activities

The Alisal offers 10,000 acres of possibilities for amazing outdoor recreation. No matter the season, sporting interests, or skill level, you are sure to find plenty of activities ready to help you unwind and have the time of your life.

With over 50-miles of horseback riding trails, we offer group and private rides that let you explore the Ranch’s many scenic wonders. For the fisherman, boating enthusiasts, archers, or air rifle fans, our private 100-acre lake is a hub for year-round fun. If golf is your sport, or you would like to give it a try, our two championship courses provide plenty of challenge for golfers of all abilities. The Ranch also offers tennis and pickleball courts, ropes courses, and plenty of trails for mountain biking.

In addition to all the on-property recreation, we also offer guided road bike touring through the nearby wine country. Whether you want a challenging ride, or a relaxed cruise complete with a little wine tasting, we have the wheels, the safety gear and knowledgeable guides to fulfill your cycling desires.

Service Charges

The Alisal's 20% service charge is intended to eliminate the need for our guests to tip individual employees, as well as cover the cost of a variety of amenities provided to our guests. These include two water canteens and a bottle of Alisal wine at check-in, daily newspapers, complimentary WiFi internet access, fitness center, complimentary shuttles to and from Solvang village center, nightly hors d'oeuvres in the Oak Room bar, complimentary bicycles, wine tasting with Alisal wine partners, scheduled and seasonal entertainment and a variety of children's activities including barnyard and Kid's arts and crafts room.
