A native of the Santa Ynez Valley, Executive Chef Anthony Endy brings to Alisal Guest Ranch & Resort a reverence for the region’s bounty and a commitment to timeless food made from seasonal, locally sourced ingredients at their peak. “Alisal is an iconic Central Coast property, and I’m excited to maintain its integrity and expand upon it with new offerings,” he says. “The essential elements—seasonal ingredients, classic ranch recipes, BBQs—are all there, now with a bit more technique and flare.”

Capturing the essence of California cuisine with the depth of flavor and heartiness of Western ranch cooking, Endy puts forth delectable selections ranging from casual meals by the pool or on the golf course, to fine dining in the Ranch Room. He also oversees special dinners and al fresco barbecues among Alisal’s rolling hills—“cooking with a live fire is a special passion of mine,” he explains.

Breakfast is served in the Ranch Room 7:00 a.m.-10:00 a.m. daily
We offer an extensive à la carte menu, as well as a full breakfast buffet, brimming with fresh fruit, homemade cinnamon rolls, and your favorite morning entrées.

Guests can choose from any of four restaurants for lunch
The Ranch Room is open from 12:00 p.m.-1:30 p.m. (excluding summer, holidays, and periodic weekends) and serves a limited menu. The poolside Chuckwagon Grill is open during summer, holidays, and select weekends from 11:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. The Ranch and River Golf Courses have their own open-to-the-public restaurants that feature extensive lunch menus and serve from 11:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. daily. You can also order a boxed lunch to be delivered to you at Alisal Lake.

Dinner is a fine dining event at which Chef Pascal pulls out all the stops with thick steaks grilled over local oak, juicy chicken, and the best sustainable seafood, as well as entrées featuring vegetables and herbs grown here on property or picked nearby.
Please note: Since the opening of the Ranch in 1946, it has been custom to “dress up” for dinner on the Ranch. This tradition has meant that gentlemen 16 years and older wear a sport coat to dinner and ladies dress accordingly. If you choose to wear jeans, we ask that your jeans be dressy – not frayed and without holes.

APPETIZERS, DRINKS, ENTERTAINMENT
The Oak Room Lounge is open daily at 4:00 p.m. serving appetizers, a full selection of cocktails, beer, wine, and cappuccino or espresso. Music is offered nightly beginning at 6:30 p.m. Adults only after 9:00 p.m.

SPECIAL DINNERS AND BARBECUES
During the summer season, guests are also treated to three weekly outdoor events: a Seafood Barbecue served at Alisal Lake on Monday nights, a Southwestern-style barbecue served at the Rodeo Arena on Wednesday nights, and our traditional Western-style barbecue served on the lawn adjacent to the pool on Saturday nights. The Monday and Wednesday affairs are optional, as the Ranch Dining Room is also open to guests on those evenings.
